Statement of Purpose

We believe that the goal of the Youth Ministry of First Union is to point the youth in the direction of Christ.  We want to be partners with their parents in their upbringing.

Mission Statement

To maintain a personal and spiritual connection with each youth by influencing the total person: mind, body and soul.  Our desire is to further help our youth reach other youth to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Strategy for Success

We will fulfill our purpose and mission by:

  • ·        Listening to the youth

  • ·        Communicating to each youth their value to God and to their church

  • ·        Providing opportunities for each youth to understand and experience a true relationship with God

  • ·        Facilitating and nurturing healthy relationships between the youth and their families

  • ·        Being patient with and tolerant of the youth

  • ·        Setting the right example before them

  • ·        Loving them unconditionally
